CNNGA bills customers monthly for their natural gas services. For your convenience, CNNGA accepts a variety of payment options:
CNNGA will charge a 10% late penalty on the current amount due for payments received in our office after the due date. Please note that we do not recognize postmark dates as the payment date for mailed payments. To avoid this late penalty, please be sure that we receive your payment in our office before the due date specified on the upper right hand corner of your bill.
If your bill is not paid by the due date, CNNGA will disconnect your gas service. If your service is disconnected for non-payment, you will be charged a $70 reconnection fee that must be paid along with the outstanding balance on the bill to have your service restored. If, however, you have requested a temporary cut-off and have no outstanding balance, then your service will be reconnected for a $50 fee.
If you feel that your bill is inaccurate, and you want the gas meter to be re-read, you may make such a request. However, if upon the re-reading it’s determined that the original reading was correct, you will be billed $50. If the original reading was incorrect, you will not be charged.
CNNGA participates in the state’s Setoff Debt Collection Program, in which outstanding balances may be collected through a customer’s state tax refund.
If you are having difficulty paying your bill, please contact a Customer Service Representative so that we may try to assist you. Or call our Clinton office at 864.833.1862 or our Newberry office at 803.276.1550.
CNNGA also offers its customers another convenient way to easily budget for your gas bill through an Equal Payment Plan (EPP). If you have had one consecutive year of service with CNNGA, you may qualify for EPP, which allows you to know in advance what your gas bill will be every month.
If you have had one consecutive year of service with CNNGA, you may opt to join our Equal Payment Plan (EPP), which allows you to know in advance what your gas bill will be every month.
As a participant of EPP, you will pay the same amount on your natural gas bill each month for 11 months, regardless of the actual amount owed on the bill. Then, during the 12th month, you will settle up your account by paying the “Total Amount Due” or a check will be issued to you if there is a credit balance.
The set amount due monthly will be determined by averaging your consumption from the previous year. This monthly bill does not cover any additional charges such as appliance installation or additional services. These fees will be added to your EPP amount due that month and must be paid during the month that it is charged.
At the end of the EPP year, overpayments of $0-20 will be rolled over and credited to your next month’s balance. Overpayment of $20 or greater will be refunded to you. If there is a balance owed, you will be billed during the 12th month for the entire amount.
To help you stay aware of your actual balance throughout the year, you still will receive a bill that shows your actual usage and how your account stands month to month. This will help you to plan for any refunds or payments that will be due during the 12th month.
While you are participating in the EPP plan, your gas account will not be subject to penalty or cut off as long as you make your payment each month.
You may join the EPP plan three times a year – after payment of your March, April or May bill. If you are interested in signing up for EPP, please contact us or call our Clinton office at 864.833.1862 or our Newberry office at 803.276.1550.
If you currently participate in EPP and wish to stay in the plan, you need to do nothing. We will automatically renew your account at the end of each year and will calculate and send you a newly averaged bill.
If you currently participate in EPP and would like to opt out of the program, please contact one of our Customer Service Representatives or call our Clinton office at 864.833.1862 or our Newberry office at 803.276.1550.
